Bought these because I LOVE Keens. I own several pairs of their water shoes and wear nothing else at work (12 hour shifts, on my feet a lot). But one thing to consider, from my point of view anyway is that these are RUNNING shoes. They don't have the big toe box that other Keens have and that might be a deal breaker for Keen fans. They are very supportive and appear to be well made and so far they are wearing well and not rubbing my feet in any way that is going to cause a blister or some other deformity. I can imagine that they would be great for running down a trail. I for one, don't run, even if someone is chasing me.

I bought these shoes to do the W Trek in Patagonia, which was 3 1/2 days and over 30 miles total, including rocky terrain, up and down hills, with some snow, rivers, streams. I love these shoes, I didn't have to break them in, I wore them straight out of the box for the trek, and they were very comfortable with no blisters at all. One of our porters who carried our stuff had the same shoes. I don't know how waterproof they are as it didn't rain and I didn't get wet.

My husband wore his new keens every day for a week while we were traveling. It rained on and off most days and his feet and socks stayed dry. He said his shoes were very comfortable and never complained.
