Very comfortable shoes

This is the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. They are very light and my regular tennis shoe size was a perfect fit. There is room to wiggle your toes yet the fit is tight enough to feel secure. I really can't say enough about the comfort of the shoes. The material they are made of "breathes" which should be great in the summer but on a cold windy winter day your feet may get a little chilly. Not a dealbreaker by any means. I love these shoes and will be ordering more of them in the future.

Better Than the Omni 7's

Full disclosure: I'm a former couch potato that has been running for about 3 years. I run about 25-30 miles per week, almost exclusively in Saucony Omnis. I started with the Omni 6's which are still my favorites for support, weight, comfort, and just plain overall feel. When they changed to the Omni 7, it didn't feel right so I tried a Brooks shoe. Why is this relevant? Because, for me, the Saucony Omni 8 is (nearly) a return to what I love about the almost extinct Omni 6. I've got about 150 miles on my 8's and they seem to be holding up pretty well (especially on the inside of the shoe just below the ankle where my moving foot sometimes hits my planted foot while running).If you think one running shoe is just as good as the next, well..this one is.If you left the Saucony brand, this shoe might be worth trying on next time you're at the running store.

Good shoe for large runners

I run 12-15 miles a week, am 34 years old, 5'10" & 215, have narrow flat feet with slight over pronation. If I get the wrong running shoe, I will know in a couple of weeks because I will start getting shin splints or patellar tendonitis. I have gone thru two pair of the Saucony Omni 7s over the last year, and when it was time to buy again, I went with these. I have put about 50 miles on them or so far with no unusual aches or pains. They are a little bit more flexible then the Omni 7's and they are just a little loose for my narrow foot and ankle but not too bad. I think if you're built like me and run about as much as I do; these are good bang for the buck shoes.

Love em' !

Bought them for more of a day to day use for the crappy weather in New England and have had ample opportunity to get them wet while keeping my feet dry. The Gore-Tex may be a bit warm for warmer climates but seems perfect here. The fit is quite true to size so you need not monkey with that. My North Face equivalent are also awesome but the fit is a bit tighter and possibly more suitable for the trail. I'm sure a thicker pair of socks would make up the difference too. Buy these shoes. You need them. They will make you a better person and undoubtedly attract some very fine ladies.Good Luck!

Great all around sneaker...

Great sneaker.. it's my second pair.Very stable in all directions, waterproof, and breathes well for a Gortex sneaker, though not as breathable as open mesh, so good for mild winters too.Great for running, and I even play tennis in them.The lace clip may loosen over time when wearing, so you have to re-tighten the laces every now and then. When I play tennis though, the Kevlar laces dig into my foot and leaves a mark (since they are thin and do not give/stretch); but not so much when running. Wish laces would go up just a little higher on my foot for extra stability when day hiking.The sole doesn't last too long though and would show wear in a few months. I still wear them after the sole is well worn without much problem though. Wore for at least a year.

Very lightweight, great fit, and a brilliant closure system that is adjustable, stays tight, and can be released and tightened instantly. I think the shoes tend slightly to the narrow side, but overall the fit is great for walking.

Super high quality shoe

These North Face shoes are perhaps the best quality trail shoes I have ever owned. Totally worth the extra money. Extremely comfortable, waterproof and good shock absorption. They do get a little bit warmer than most running shoes due to the goretex lining, but I love them for doing anything outside. Highly recommend them.

Never had a North Face shoe before, but this one sold me. They felt like a comfortable pair of old tennis shoes the first time I put them on, so I purchased two pair this year. Excellent in snow and rain, as feet are bone dry. Gortex liners help keep my feet warm, too. Great purchase.
