they undid what they did right in the pure connect... They made this shoe more " marketable...(to people who are not looking for this shoe)... they raised the heal cup (for heal strikers) the made the soul thicker (feel like I am on stilts) in the original you felt like you were in a supportive glove... I am grabbing up some of the originals while I still can.. best that can be said is that now the originals are 2/3 the price they were! Brooks made a great shoe that I have been in love with for 5 months (got great pro reviews) and then they go and mess it up... (trying to appeal to and heal strikering joe sixpack (not abs) with flat feet... in addition to messing up the fit and performance they added weight... thicker foot-bed elevates foot in addition to losing all feel for the ground.
