By Doug Stevens
I bought a pair of the Release in 2010 and neglected to review it. Now, more than two years later, I can't heap enough praise on the shoe. It's lightweight, absorbs shock extremely well, is very comfortable, and has held up extraordinarily well. I thought I'd be able to find another in my size but was surprised to find a shoe this good is now an obsolete model.

By shoelesstom
I have been searching for good hiking low cut shoes for quite some time and recently purchased these shoes to see if they met my needs. This shoe is light weight, sturdy, and feels as comfortable as a top level running shoe without compromising its ability to handle the trails of ILLINOIS and Disney. I have a history of heel spurs that are under control, but if I wear the wrong shoe, I am quickly reminded of the possibility of the condition returning. With these shoes, there isn't a chance. I will say however that the price was a bit high. I picked them up on clearance at DSGs for $60, which was a major steal, but if I had to pay a $100 knowing what I know, I would $ that as well.
