I generally like Salomon's range of trail running gear, and these shoes are no exception. I wanted something that was a little less aggressive than their trail running shoes, that could also handle gentle trails & city-to-trail transitions.These shoes fit the bill. They are comfortable, the lacing system is proven & works, and they have a smooth ride, both on city asphalt as well as dirt trails. I haven't tested them on anything gnarly, but then again, that wasn't their intended use when I purchased them.Lengthwise, they fit the same as all my other Salomon shoes. However, this model feels wider, and definitely has a lot more room in the toe box. My one gripe with Salomon in the past was that I would find a lot of their models to be slightly narrow. But this shoe is perfect!

I have owned several pairs of Solomon shoes. I wanted a lighter shoes for the summer. Salomon has never disappointed. Great running shoe. Good support and lots of cushion. Salomon's quality is very good compared to other brands. The lace system give for a snug fit.

These shoes are not bad..I see only 2 things that could use improvements. And it could just be me..others may not have a problem with it. (1.) the hour glass design of the shoe leaves your midfoot too snug and your toes and heel too loose. (2.) the quicklace system however convenient, prevents localized tighting thus not being able to adjust the laces as you need to. Overall its a good shoe for mainly trails. Not very comfortable on road.
