I read all the negative reviews and still decided to get these shoes. I am sure glad I did, they are extremely comfortable and fit perfectly. I am 6'5" and about 260 pounds so I can put a beating on a pair of shoes. I run 15 or so miles a week, both on trail and on the road. These shoes work great for this, although they feel a lot better on the trail (but being a trail shoe, they should). I do not have a wide foot or even a large foot, I currently wear an 11.5 and that is why I ordered it online.I did a lot of research and wanted to make sure I got the right shoe for me. I have a normal gait and a normal arch. I also where these shoes out, I have the orange shoes and they look great with shorts and with jeans.I would recommend these to anyone looking for a good pair of New Balance.

Im a Marine stationed in Afghanistan. Before I left I bought this same pair of shoes from the store. When I tried them on they fit perfect. I have a wide foot and the wide size fit nicely and they were extremely comfortable. Obviously running out in the dessert killed my shoes quickly, so I went online and ordered the same pair, same size, dif color. When I got them I was slightly disappointed. Even though they were the same size as the old pair, they just fit differently. They felt more snug and not as supportive. They are a good pair of shoes. I put them through hell and they keep up. It was just disappointing that one pair fit differently than the next.

I really think these are comfortable shoes. I am on my feet all day and have no problem with any foot pain. They are not "WIDE" as stated. They are supposed to be 4E in width and I hope this doesn't cause problems down the road. As for the the way they are built and the ruggedness - they are great.
