I try a ton of shoes, and this is the best I have landed on to date. Low heel-to-toe drop and lightweight makes for a minimalist feel but with a few more bells and whistles. Great toe box - never had a blister in them and covered some ultra distances. Drains well. Not awesome in heavy mud, but not many shoes aside from cleats are. Really nimble. Lugs don't splay too wide of the foot, so you can hit your spots pretty well without having to 'compensate' for support. Love the glove for the tightening mechanism too. Great shoe. Expensive, but my pair are still going strong at well over 500 miles.

Well what can I say... I love Salomon products! This shoe just looks fast. If you are not careful it will take off the second you free it from the box. S-LAB Sense is a low profile ultra light racing machine. My biggest issue with them the first time I wore them was keeping up to them. The only element that could use improvement is the liner. As a minimilist shoe they are intended to be worn without socks. Unfortunately, the liner leaves a little to be desired. Salomon needs to have a look at the New Balance liner as they have the sockless approach dialed in. Oh, did I mention these shoes look super cool!

Salomon makes top notch products, and their new race shoe offering is no different. This is a phenomenally light and agile shoe that is unrivaled in the trail racing world. Truly amazing!
