"'END'? What the heck is 'END'?"That was my initial thought about these. Then I put them on and became an instant believer. These are amazingly light and comfortable, with great laces and thin, breathable uppers. Perfectly true to size. I went with the "olive gray and orange peel" color scheme, which I like better than the black and red. More... nature-ish, I guess. Anyway, no matter what color you go with, this is a great shoe at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

The Stumptown 12.0 is the perfect fast hiking, trailrunning, or urban trekking shoe. Right out of the box this shoe is comfortable. The lacing system provides constant tension across the entire upper. END has taken a minimalist approach to this shoe, resulting in a flexible yet supportive breathable shoe. Whether you plan on using this shoe for technical trail running or just trekking around an urban cityscape you will not be disappointed. At under $80 these shoes are a bargain.
