This is perhaps the best trail running shoe I've run in. I've had a lot of shoes over the years(since 71)and these are great. First, the fit is awesome, very stable even on technical trails, forefoot is nice and wide-makes a good plant, and very cushioned ride. No need to spend over $100 for a good trail running shoe - try these.

I've been a big fan of Hi-Tec for several years, and have owned several pair of their hiking boots. This is the first pair of trail runners I've purchased from them, having just worn out my New Balance.Pro: Light weight, good support, good construction, and good traction. Con: Narrow fit; foot bed a bit stiff.I have a narrow foot, and this shoe gives me adequate room. Anyone with other than a narrow foot will need to go with wider options if available. Right now its winter and I'm wearing mid-weight wool socks. Heavier weight would be too tight. In summer, a lighter pair of sock will make for a better all around fit. I've worn them now for nearly a month and they are more comfortable than when I first put them on. I still might choose to replace the sock liner with something more comfortable.Bottom Line: There are better trail running shoes out there. The company's website does not list them, so any you buy will be closeouts. If you can pick them up for $50 or so, and you have a narrow foot, be a bit patient and they'll probably work for you. If you want something very comfortable right out of the box, go elsewhere.

Great shoe, light wieght and well put together. This my second pair of HiTec shoes. I will never buy another pair. Durable and wears like a glove. For a trail running shoe you can go wrong.
