These shoes are ultra-light, and quite comfortable. I've worn them in all types of conditions and on all types of terrain, and can say that where comfort is concerned they are the best trail shoes I have owned. There are a couple of drawbacks however. First, the tread, which is staggeringly good on earth, pavement, and dry rock, is seriously dangerous on very wet rock surfaces. I have definitely felt unsafe on wet, rocky slopes and ridges while wearing these. Second, the soles have delaminated after a few months use. I am not an athlete, and I haven't put these shoes through too much, so, to me, that is an unacceptably short life-span for a pair of shoes.The above aside, these shoes are quite amazing on dry surfaces. The grip of the sole is almost paranormal, and the flexible and sensitive toe makes trail running a real pleasure. I think my feet are in better shape for having worn these.

Watch out !If you are bying these thinking that they are the first version of the Terroc 330, as suggested by the photo, think again.The shoes shipped to me were a newer version. They look more or less the same and are based on the same sole, but the upper is different ! I am not saying that they are bad, but I specifically wanted the old version. Amazon seemed to be the only one still selling those, so I bought from them. If I would have known that I would get the newer shoe, I would have gone with another seller who was selling the newer version, but wasn't charging for shipping & handling.

Bought these for day hiking in warm Northeast summer weather. So far I love them. They are highly breathable, and they are very comfortable. I've hiked probably about 60 miles in these, usually 6-8 mile hikes, in both warm and wet weather. I've had no hot spots or blisters. The toe guards are great and holding up fine. If it's wet, your feet will quickly get wet in these; but will dry up quickly due to breathability. The model shown in Amazon is the previous model (I believe), the only difference I can see with the new model you will receive is the ankle wrap fabric is a darker color in the newer (it's dark grey like the front wrap material {not the black toe guard}.) I actually prefer the newer model's slight difference. I returned a size 11.5 for a size 12. At first the shape in the front seemed a bit odd, they did not appear anatomically correct?; the toe box seemed neutral rather than curved in towards the larger toes. Once I went for a hike, though, I quickly forgot about this, they are just so comfortable.
